Re: War in The Middle East
Yes, we do reject any concept that looks down on any non-Armenian. If you need a proof to see how tolerant our nation is towards others then just talk to any of the ethnic and religious minorities who call the Republic of Armenia (RA) their home. From RA’s biggest minorities Yezidi Kurds and Molokan Russians to the smallest Ukrainians, Greeks and others. We, as a nation and as a state, have never discriminated against any of them.
Why do you think for example the Yezidis have always volunteered, fought and died alongside us when we fought our enemies? Because a) they consider Armenia to be their homeland, our enemies are their enemies and b) no other nation has ever treated Yezidis better than the Armenians.
Even the case with the Azeri Turks, a significant ethnic minority in the past (during the Soviet period), even they were treated by us with respect and dignity. In the early 90-ies, after the Armenian massacres which took place all over Azerbaijan, they were told to leave and they were never massacred!
We have a significant number of J-e-w-s too, and I have never heard any of them complaining or any local Armenian speaking badly about them. They are treated as equal citizens, something that unfortunately can not be said about the way they threat our people (ethnic Armenians with Israeli passports) in Israel, the likes of our Jerusalem Armenians for example who live there and have continuous presence for over fourteen centuries. But in the last 50 odd years they were subjected to low and high-level bureaucratic discrimination and outright attacks on our clergymen. This Israeli state level, hidden discrimination and at times quite open, street level discrimination have led to lot of our people leaving Jerusalem.
