My good friend, who shares all of my interests, just returned to Wisconsin after living on both coasts.

We are working on a project together (have been working together for many years.) I've always had very deep respect for him and the work he does. I'd trust him with my life. On top of that, I'm also very attracted to him.

I want to say something to him about that... (he’s about to move again, but not nearly as far away)… but I am too afraid of getting let down or making a fool of myself, now. Should I say something? Should I just see if things happen without my doing anything? I don't know what to do, if anything.

I think you should go for it and tell him, but be discreet enough about it so it doesn't backfire so badly if he's not interested.

I'm not great at the being 'discreet' part, though. My situation is even more weird than normal... can you give me an example of how you think I could do that?
