Well, I think that because of OSCE, Russia can not make any unilateral decisions (meaning that Russia cannot just arbitrarily deploy peacekeepers). Although if there is an attack, it would be safe to say that extra peacekeeping measures will be taken. If this happens and Russians deploy peacekeepers, NKR will be safe from Azeri aggression forever.

TBH, the status quo is ideal for an independent Artsakh. Each time it has elections, the notion of democracy is strengthened.

Armenia has no choice but to trust Russia.

Last time we trusted the russians with NKR, we almost lost it, and we almost had a 2nd genocide, so uh no thanks. Better we build a good army of our own and make our own decisions.

So let us except history and look at all sides. I agree with what we did at the time and in hind sight Moscow sees it the same way now. But back then this was a different matter.

I do say we should always be ready to fend for ourselfs! But let us not placate Moscow as for them it was worth siding with the baboon. They had a lot more to lose, there was a lot going on and we were big shots in doing what we did. I am very proud of who we are as a people. Tinny Armenia stood up for what it thought was the right thing, while giants walked about aimlessly. Not saying we should trust anyone fully, not even ourselfs! But we should cut a break when it is do.

One of the reasons why the world was shocked was becuase little tinny Armenia stood up and fought for what she believed in & Won! This was not small feat, and if the baboon thinks of messing with us we will go to Baku! Watch! I think some of us here need to be reminded of the historical facts since we are speaking about history!

Many Armenians are in delusion that other will save or do for them better than they can do it for themselves which it can never happen.
We don't need others to the the work which is intended by history to us.I think when Stalin give armenian lands to others he knew it could not last,just cause he knew armenians very well.Argued with many armenian generals he had many faults thank god Bagramyan stood up ,worst leader of all times he divided armenians at the same time killed millions of others.

To this day people talk about the West and how Armenia should do this that, when they know fully well as much as the Russians did, the West did even worse! What happened to the Allies? What is to be said of all the grand lands left to the toorks, while today they talk about "events"

i have heard many storys about Stalin,but most interesting and famouse ones.

version1) his mother worked in house of an armenian and than armenian guy did it with her and throwed away,when stalin knew about that his father throwed mother alone with baby he begun hate against armos.

version2) the same history but hes mother worked for an yahoodi not armenian....

but with version 2 we dont getting answer why he did it with armenians.

Nobody is saying that Armenia should step back and let Russia take care of our business. However, given high levels of corruption and a low budget, there is only so much that the government can do. And I recognize that CSTO is not worth much. All will depend on how Russia feels on the day that Azerbaijan finally invades.

Remember Vartanantz? The entire sticking Persian army with hundreds of thousands of men. We were outnumbered and out gunned, sounds like the same broken record does it not? They showed up with war elephants we showed up with a cross and two guys.

We won! What happened to the mighty Persians? They got concurred by Arabs, and converted to Islam, what happened to tinny Armenia? She still was Christian even under the Muslim hords.

What happened with the first war for NKR? Little tinny Armenia up gainst not just the baboon, but Afgans, Chechens and a good portion of the Soviet Army. No support from the West, what a suprise. So What happened? Little tinny Armenia won the war!

Oh and don't worry about Moscow for the time being, they are not letting go of Sooria, what makes you think they will let some baboon touch Armenia? Not that we need the help to rid ourselvs of these stupid fools! What happened with the last raid with commando units against our young 18 year olds? They go their as kicked yet again!

Yo Vahram you speak like a blind nationalist which is the worst(most dangerous) kind. Dude i guess you were missinformed about the Vardanants battle caus we did not win it - we lost that battle and Vardan lost his life along with thousends of other armenians. Yes we need to keep the armenian army strong and we should never fully trust others with our security but there are issues that are working against us and are ignored by seemingly everyone. Issue #1 is demographics, issue number 2 is azeri oil money , issue number 3 is the wests and israel's support for the azeris and their big brother.Our victory in kharabagh was very costly and we cannot afford another war of such proportions. We do not really have much of a choice in the matterof our security because we cannot secure our country and people against our enemies therefor we have to rely on others no matter if we want to or not. Of the choices we have russia is still our best hope. You guys should not forget that the azeris are a tiny example of the real threat our country faces to our west and just becaus we beat the azeris once does not mean that we can now guerantee our own security. We are far away from being a true nation which can guerantee the security of its citizens and offer them good opportunities in life. We have much yet to do and build to get to this point and we need peace so we can do this.
