Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

  • Locally-produced "Sgarsh" jamming device presented at Army 2017 in Russia.

The EW device is used designed to suppress the signal from navigation satellites such as GPS and GLONASS. In such conditions, an appreciable part of modern military equipment (especially precision ammunition) loses so many of its capabilities, and the same unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) completely lose the ability to navigate in space (for a while they can be driven by an inertial system, but its low accuracy does not allow it to navigate for more than a few minutes, especially if there is wind). The Armenian electronic warfare system (EW) is capable of operating in two modes, depending on the connected antenna - either by drowning the signal in a circle with a radius of up to 30 km (according to the developer), or in the sector of 60 degrees horizontally and 40 degrees vertically. In the directional mode, according to the Armenian expert, the GPS signal can be silenced at a range of up to 60 km. The system itself is small in size and mobile enough. In mountainous terrain, when installing antennas at altitudes, it is possible to turn off GPS far above enemy territory (in directional mode), significantly worsening the coordination and orientation of enemy troops and complicating the effective use of reconnaissance UAVs. The structure of the interference is not simple: it is identical to a useful signal, which often prevents the satellite navigator from determining the fact that it is muffled.

    • Updated version of the locally produced reconnaissance drone, X-55, presented at Army 2017 in Russia.
The updated version, "55M" uses a more advanced element base - jam-protected GPS and radio receivers, and an advanced inertial system (it keeps the UAV at the time of loss of communication with the operator and GPS until the aircraft leaves the interference zone). If necessary, the UAV can be equipped with a French thermal imager of for night reconnaissance. The elevation for the 55M is approximately 2 km (maximum - 6 km), where it is not visible and can not be heard. The cruising speed is 100-130 km / h, and the maximum flight time is up to 4 hours. That is, for one flight the UAV can cover a distance of 400-500 km. The maximum range of communication with the operator is 100 km, but the flight can also be carried out in automatic mode, at checkpoints. That is, if necessary, reconnaissance can also be conducted in the depth of Azerbaijani territory (with a call to the airspace for 150-200 km). This drone is already launched into mass production and will seriously increase the reconnaissance capabilities of the Armed Forces of Armenia and the NKR.

      • Locally-produced optical countermeasure system 3K01M presented at Army 2017 in Russia.
The system uses a sounding laser to detect enemy optical and optoelectronic systems (both day and night) at distances up to 2.5 km, after which it is possible to use a more powerful laser emitter to "blind" the enemy's sight. At a range of up to 1.5 km, the optics will be irreversibly damaged.

It is very interesting to read what azeris are producing with billions spent.
Comes to mind how much more we would do with equal billions and how ineffective and backward Azeris are.
Sheep will allways stay the same.

They are building garbage commodity arms that are cheaper to buy. There is no way to make any money unless they are building thousand upon thousands. They have been delivering arms to terrorists around the world with their “Silk Way Airlines” using diplomatic flights for countries that do not want to be associated with terrorists. They got the idea to build those low commodity arms for terrorists since they are delivering arms. RPG, small mortars, sniper rifles perfect arms selling to terrorists.

“The report, authored by Dilyana Gaytandzhiev, claims Saudi Arabia, UAE, the US military and several countries have used Azerbaijani state-owned airlines Silk Way Airlines to transport large quantities of weapons that ended up in the hands of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant”

So , which one wins now ? The jammer or the jam-protected drone?

Don't think the drone will be jam-portected all the time. That means the jammer is useless.

Would like to know what is a "Sounding laser" in the 3K01M.

                  • I wish our people will learn the importance of marketing. I checked the website of the company it does not even mention the products. Their website looks like something from China in the 1980s.
