                  [ 28 April 2014 11:56 ]

Baku. Real Jafarli – APA. One more Azerbaijani has been killed on Syrian battlefields.

Azerbaijani resident of the city of Tabriz Maharram Alipur was reportedly sent to Syria to fight on the government’s side and killed in a battle against the opposition forces, APA reports citing “Öyrənci Səsi”.

Earlier, two Tabriz residents had been killed in Syria. One of them was Mahmoud Bayzai (Hussain Nusrati), 26, a member of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. He has been reportedly killed in the battles for Hazrat Zainab’s tomb. Mahmoud Bayzai was living in Tabriz and has one-year-old daughter. His corpse was brought to Tabriz and buried therein on January 22, 2014.

The surname of another Tabriz resident killed in Syria is Kenani.

Iranian side has made a claim of sending its soldiers to protect Hazrat Zainab’s tomb. The opposition forces have so far taken 48 of them hostage. Among these Persian soldiers is Abedin Khorram, the commander-in-chief of SEPAH’s West Azerbaijan unit.
