- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

HPG: At least 44 soldiers killed in actions by guerrillas

HPG (People's Defense Forces) guerrillas conducted effective actions in a number of places including Heftanin, Şırnak, Hakkari, Amed and Van, in which at least 44 soldiers of the Turkish army were killed and many military vehicles were destroyed.

        Sunday, August 23, 2015
        HEFTANİN

An armored vehicle of the Turkish army attempted to enter the Martyr Kendal area at the border to Heftanin region of Medya Defense Zones between 07:00-08:00 on August 23. Guerrillas destroyed this vehicle, which left 10 soldiers inside it dead.

A clash broke out between guerrillas and soldiers in Kêlik area at Heftanin border line between 20:00-22:00 on August 21. The exact number of casualties couldn't be verified.

Guerrillas hit another unit of Turkish soldiers who similarly attempted to enter Martyr Kendal area between 09:00-16:30 on August 21. Some 8-10 soldiers were killed and the others were wounded in the action.

Two more armored vehicles that later attempted to enter the area between 21:00-22:00 the same day were also sabotaged and destroyed by guerrillas.

        HAKKARİ

On August 22, guerrillas targeted a large convoy of Turkish military on its way from Çukurca to Hakkari. A sabotage action against the convoy near the Dawuşa village at 16:30 left three soldiers dead and two others heavily wounded. Cobra type helicopters that came to the scene for intervention were also hit with heavy weapons, and forced to retreat.

While the action of guerrillas lasted till 20:30, another convoy heading from Hakkari to Çukurca also retreated after the action near Dawuşa village.

        ŞIRNAK

During an ID check on the road between Mardin's Kerboran district and Şırnak's İdil district on August 20, guerrillas, who hold the area since August 20, detained a guard by the name of Selahattin Dağ from Xırabeyê Xoriya village of Dargeçit (Kerboran). The village guard was questioned and later released after promising to leave his job.

Guerrillas responded to the Cobra helicopters that shelled the Zevya area in Şemanê town of Şırnak's Beytüşşebap district on August 22. While the helicopters retreated from the area, local sources reported that one of them fell down near Zevya area later, which was however not confirmed by HPG yet.

In an action in memory of all the recently fallen comrades of theirs, guerrillas hit the Şemani guard post in Beytüşebap (Beşebap/Elki) district of Şırnak at 22.00 on August 21. Three emplacements on the defense-hill of the guard post were destroyed in the action which also left nine soldiers dead, including one sergeant, and seven others wounded, one of them heavily.

        BATMAN

Guerrillas burnt down and destroyed two lorries, one tanker and two petrol cans belonging to a private company on the road between Batman and its Haskif (Hasankeyf) town at 00:00-01:00 on August 21 night.

        AMED

HPG said their guerrillas had no involvement in the clash at Özekli guard post in Amed, which left one civilian and one soldier wounded.

Guerrillas closed the road between Bülul and Xorong villages of Muş from 21:00 to 23:00 on August 22. Stopping some 200 vehicles here, guerrillas performed ID checks and informed the people about the current process.

A road between Amed and Batman was also closed by guerrillas who performed ID checks and informed the people about the process between 20:00 and 21:30 on August 22.

One soldier was killed in a sabotage action of guerrillas who targeted the Farqin (Silvan) dam at 16:10 on August 22. The construction equipment here was also hit and damaged.

Martyr Arin Mirxan YJA Star team conducted an action against a police group keeping guard outside the AKP office in Huzurevleri neighborhood of Amed at 21:00 on August 21.

A police vehicle was destroyed, one policeman was killed and four others were wounded, including one heavily, in the action which was carried out in memory of Ekin Wan at 21:00 on August 21.

In the Lice, Karas (Kocaköy) and Hani triangle area of Amed where Turkish military operations are going on since August 17, two Cobra type helicopters shelled the sides of Hill Zerga, while one Sikorsky helicopter dispatched supplies, munitions and soldiers to the area at 22:30 on August 22.

        BİNGÖL

Guerrillas closed a road between Kanireş (Karlıova) and Çat areas of Bingöl from 21:30 on August 22 to 02:30 last night, performed ID checks and informed the people about the current process.

        VAN

An action by guerrillas targeted the Balaban checkpoint between Gevaş district of Van and Tatvan district of Bitlis at 22:00 on August 22. There were 2 panzers, 2 gendarmerie vehicles, 5 containers, 2 watch boxes and 20 soldiers at the checkpoint which guerrillas sabotaged with an explosive-laden vehicle. While the explosion left all the vehicles here destroyed, details of the action couldn't be verified due to the dense smoke at the scene.

According to information HPG received from local sources, one sergeant, one specialist sergeant and five soldiers were killed in the action against which Turkish army took no action.

        BİTLİS

Unmanned aerial vehicles of the Turkish army have performed reconnaissance flights over Marty Mizgin area of Bitlis from 16:00 to 18:00 on August 22.

        ERZURUM

Guerrillas destroyed two base stations of GSM operators Turkcell and Vodafone in Çankaya area of Erzurum at 19:30 and 20:30 on August 22.

        DERSİM

One police was heavily wounded as a result of an action conducted by guerrillas against a vehicle of undercover policemen in Hozat district of Dersim at 12:00 on August 21.

An airstrike by Turkish aircraft on August 22 started a fire in Dersim's Deriyê Munzur, Dola Kutudere, Kurudere, Dola PKK, Rojdere, Kozmerik, Deriyê Harpik, Engirman and Bağkê areas, which still continues.

        ADIYAMAN

Recalling a previous statement confirming the death of two guerrillas, Harun Pasur and Pale Kawa, in Adıyaman on August 20, HPG added that two soldiers were killed and two others were wounded in the clash between the fallen HPG guerrillas and the soldiers who ambushed them.

        • Re: Prospects of a Kurdish state and what it means for Armenia

In the last couple of days, posts like the one above have completely stopped referring to western Armenia as north kurdistan. Previously n. kurdville was in every article like one above since open hostilities between the two thiefs that murdered and stole our land broke out.
If anyone doesn't know why there aren't any Armenian defenders, it's because the two hostile factions murdered them.
In the beginning of these types of news posts which are clearly kurd propaganda , the kurd apparatus that is disseminating these propaganda "updates" was setting the stage (world stage) for recognition of a kurd state. This geo/politicle " move" purposefully never once mentioned the western Armenian homeland that they (kurd) helped the turc steal from the people they murdered and forced expulsion.
Oh, I forgot, they said they were sorry.

The armenians abandoned their land (houses , fields etc).
When one asks (?inocent?) kurd who now occupy --- all --- Armenian lands, how that came to be, they invariably say ... The Armenians ABANDONED those lands.

If I come to your house and put a bullet in your skull and drive off the rest of your family (except for the girls and women kidnaped), would anybody think you ABANDONED your house??????

(your) decision about who shall be the Lords truth and justice in above post is just that, yours. Your point of power didn't change from previous posts.
