You said Turkification is going on in Iran but you say the Azeris are being oppressed. How could the group imposing their culture on others be oppressed themselves? Farsi being imposed on the Azeri school children doesnt sound like Turkification. Farsi being imposed on Azeri school children sounds like Persification. Azeri children being forced to speak Farsi is Persian oppression of Azeris it is not Azeri oppression against others.

Majority of members of that forum are Azeri turks. And no Persians want to unite the republic of Azerbaijan with Iran as these people want to do. We do not want more Azeris than we have now.

I think your telling a talltail. Why would Azeris Turks support a Nationalism something contradictory to what they would otherwise do. I dont see Armenians supporting pan-Turkism. I often hear Persians say Azarbaijan (see what they call Azerbaijan) should reunite with Iran (not that its going to happen).

oslonor I think you have an agenda and that is to portray a negative view of the Azeris.

I can say strange things too.

The Armenians are actually Bulgarians who mixed with the Assyrians.
The Gypsies in Bulgaria of Gypsizing the population of Bulgaria.
The Greeks are actually Bulgarians but their language evolved over 1000s of years apart.
Bulgarification is occuring in Hungary by Turanists.
Persians are actually Nordics.
The Chinese are actually east Persians.

No - You dont get it I was trying to be sacarstic. Oslonor is making these crazy things up. If you run a google search on Olsonor you will see that he has joined many forums and all he seems to do is bad mouthing the Azeri Turks of Iran.

It was as if you were holding back a tear and it really got to me. It was like a plea to the rest of humanity. I felt really bad because its 100% true. Why are they doing this to the Armenian nation?

Isnt there space in the world for a small nation called Armenia? Why have the Turks (and Azeris) destroyed almost trace of Armenians in Turkey and Azerbaijan? Why did Turks have to kill over 2 million Armenians within a 25 year period? Why does Turkey play dumb and act like it never happen? Why does Turkey (and Azerbaijan) always get away with their crimes against human law and human nature? Why does Turkey still have a agressive policy towards Armenia demanding Armenia does 3 things (withdraw from Karabakh, stop genocide recognition and recognise Turkeys current borders) before any relations can start. Why does Turkey want to destroy Armenia? Why does Azerbaijan want to destroy Armenia? Why does the western world (or even the entire world) sit back and do nothing? Why doesnt the UN sort Turkey out? Why doesnt Unesco put Turkey and Azerbaijan in their places? Why does Israel support a nation that denies genocide? Why does the USA support a nation that uses the weapon it gives to them against their own people?

What needs to happen before the whole world starts to wake up? Does there need to be another genocide of Armenian? Do the Armenians need to make their voices heard by doing a million man march on Washington demanding that their nation doesnt get destroyed? What can Armenia do before it is destroyed by these Turks?

I know that Andrew Goldberg's film about the AG was shown in the US. We do have to thank him.
Rabbi Stephen Wise, who was even a Zionist, stood by the Armenians till the end (as far as I know), whereas many Protestants and missionaries turned their backs on Armenia when they got the sweet smell of oil.
Many Jewish organizations and scholars stand by the Armenians and some even condemn Israel.
I remember a thread in a Jewish forum discussing the issue and most of the users were pro Armenian.

All that said, there is a problem. I only want to be enlightened.
Right now the thing that pisses me off the most is the actual goings on:
Their pressuring Armenia to make concessions to "Azeris", when it was the "Azeris" who committed genocidal acts, started the war, can't stop the hate propaganda and war mongering, mutilated Gurgen Markarian, glorified the monster, destroyed every trace of our presence in "Azeri" occupied Armenian land...

This is an awkward situation, but it's something that doesn't go away.
We need to address this issue.
The fact that parandzem/Jooboian was so angry with the Jews, shows that we have a serious problem here.

The difference between the accent of Azeris from Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan is equivlant to the difference of accent between people from New York and Boston, which makes it clear that the language of the Azeris north of the Aras and south of the Aras is basically the same.

The language spoken in the region of northwestern Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan signifies that the people are of the same ethnic origin and that they are in fact one people, divided between political boundaries and influenced throughout the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries by different countries and political ideologies.

Many pan-Iranists claim that Azerbaijanis are of the same stock as the Persians (meaning Aryan and Indo-European) and that they have been "Turkified" linguistically and not ethnically. But if we observe the language, culture and roots of the people of Azerbaijan (both north and south) we come to the conclusion that they are in fact peoples seperate by race and language from the Persians, who currently make up 51% of the population of Iran.

Azerbaijanis are descendants of the Oghuz Turks who migrated to the region of the Caucus mountains and the modern region of northwestern Iran in the 11th century from Central Asia. Prior to their migration, the area of Azerbaijan was first inhabited by the Medes who had settled there as early as 2500 B.C. and Caucasian Albanians who settled north of the Aras river in the present day Republic of Azerbaijan and was invaded by the Greeks and Arabs in the later centuries.
