Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Sorry to try talking to you!
You are here to preach...yet you have no concept of what the truth is in this case - you are quite pathetic. There is really noghtin we can do for you that hasn't already been provided here. If you really care for truth read some and start thinking - if you are able.

BTW - you never did answer me concerning which scholarly historical texts you have used to reach your conclusions...and no Turkish TV "documentaries" and 7th grade history lessons are not sufficient.

_ When Atatürk gives a reception to the Lords, Ministries, Kings from all over the world, he deeply felt terrible with an English man staring at his eyes with anger. He called one of his aide and asked him to go learn what the man is looking him in such a way. The aide leaves and comes back soon. Atatürk asks him what the matter was. He says; "majesty, the man is angry because he says that you've killed his father!". Atatürk turns and asks the aide:"Well but what was his father doing in my lands?".

It was a war. But again I tell you that Atatürk never ordered such a crime. As ı said he punished the people treating bad to the Armenians. Keep that in mind.
Ataturk (the Bulgarian) was against Turkey in his long term aims.

He abolished the Caliphate (some people think he was Jewish - just think for a minute a clever Jewish man abolished the spirtual head of Islam). He got rid of Islams equivalent of the Pope. He basically created the chaos that is Islam today. Apart from contributing to the downfall of Islam what else did Ataturk do/want for Turkey? He wanted Turks to become western (ie lose their Turkish identity). He was in control of the Turkish armies - he was the leader of Turkey during the Turkish war of independence. That means he must take responsibility for the 250-500,000 Armenians who died. The Assyrians and Greeks were still being massacred at this time as well so the total dead is drastically higher. Ataturk assumed dictatorship of Turkey (he was autocrat for 15 years). He was the one who created the facist dictatorial "constitution" that is used in Turkey. Infact your constitution is the legacy of Ataturk - it just goes to show you who Ataturk was. A facist dictator who damaged Islam (he was not Muslim) and someone who seeks to make Turks lose their culture and become "Europeans".

Kazak why dont you run along? Forget about telling us lies about the Armenian genocide.

What kind of person are you? In order to look at the truth you cant have your conclusion before you set out looking for the truth.

        Answer me this queston:

Have you ever considered that the Armenian genocide DID happen? Are you open to this possibility?

I think this converse between this Kazak fellow and others it quite exemplery of what goes on the political level. What is the result: a few high fives among Armenians or Turks for a successful round of word bashing. What is the result: NOTHING.

Perhaps - likewise it reflects things on a level where Armenains are tellign the truth - backed with scholarly works based on corraborated eyewitness accounts of the day - overwhelming numbers of such...meanwhile the Turks are making up stories to justify what they say never happened and are blaming the victims...glad it makes you feel good...so do you believe in Hell? Just asking...

So would you have envisaged a fully democratic, multi-party election for a country who just lost millions of men in a devastating war, has zero infrastructure, has an illiterate population and has just tuned into something new after around a thousand years of absolute rule??

You truly would have been a charismatic visionary leader back in the early 20th century....

Ataturk also did horrendous things like giving women the right to vote even before many Western countries which truly makes him a real nut case.... But hey.... you only tell people of the good deeds of Atatürk; why?

Yeah Turks do that a lot. They really are stupid, goat sticking pests who just come up with the same farse and then vanish. They never come up with the sort of evidence you have which probably makes you our winning contender in this ..........; no word for it. Since you have proven that Turks are the abomination of our Galaxy and stink like a rats ass especially on international flights and that they can not possibly have any thing 'true' to say because they are gentically brainwashed I really wonder if you feel good in the hell you have dragged us in?

                  Hitite

I have this feeling that in this kind of discussions mostly the egos are battling, it is not the ideals or seeking for a truth etc.

In larger scale it is then the national prides battling. This makes the already problematic situation even get worse.

Ok he gave women the vote.
                    Why are you defending Ataturk?

Are you Muslim? Ataturk (a Bulgarian Jew) abolished the Caliph (the Muslim pope). What kind of Muslim dies from liver disease (which is caused by HEAVY drinking)? From what I gather he was not a Muslim so a non Muslim abolished the Muslim pope. Thats a very bad thing. The Muslim pope could have told the terrorists where to shove it but its too bad there is noone to say that. I guess terrorism must be natural/integral part of Islamic doctrine.

Ataturk was responsible for massacres of 100,000s Armenians, Assyrians and Greeks.

                    Ataturk created a facist constitution.

                    Ataturk banned the Fez.

Ataturk banned the women the right to chose wherever or not to wear the headscarf. This stops freedom of choice and freedom of religion.

Ataturk signed a treaty to F the Armenians over after they had a genocide Ataturk stole their lands.
