You can ready many statements from Kocharian about the official policy of Armenia in the many interviews he has. Another example of Armenia's position you can read this interview of Minister Oskanian. Specifically, read this section:

I meant that comment to be in relation with Turkey, not Azerbaijan. The point is that the fear of Turkey being "torn apart" is irrational because the Republic of Armenia does not have the means of whisking off its lands back from Turkey, and therefore Turkey should never use the land issue as an excuse to not recognizing the Genocide because it is an irrational fear that isn't going to happen. The reality of the situation is that all these previous treaties are crap, signed under pressure, totally antiquated, or completely irrelevant. The only reality is the gigantic fence that separates from Turkey and Armenia, and to say that Armenia doesn't recognize this or that as part of Turkey is either false or an attempt to distract from the real issue.

Armenia does not have to recognize such a thing given the circumstances, nor does Armenia recognize those borders. You seem to think that if you steal something, you have the right to keep it forever.

Most of the time when turks quote Kocharian's interview on that subject, they ALWAYS leave the part off about how it is diasporan Armenians that retain the right to those claims since they were most directly affected by the AG.

Turkey needs to look at what happened honestly and without an agenda.


Secondly Turkey has to apologize.

Im sorry but from this position I dont think I can say what will happen. However it is likely Armenians whose great-grand-parents/grand-parents/parents were affected by the genocide will have a right to go to court and make a claim for their properties back, however this is provided they have their documents to prove they own a property. Others can claim a financial settlement. These things can be done in or out of court. It will be along process and will take several decades to achieve.
