Turks will never sacrifice their wealth that belongs to Armenians that they already have mercilessly stolen. They will never accept it unless there is a greater power making them. We with the help of God, if you must, should be that power who enforces their decisions based upon our standards and or consent, primarily.I'm sorry that I was such an idiot.

If half of them even did feel remorseful for their ancestors acts towards our people, then why are they not contributing here? The civilians in this free nation refuse completely to acknowledge a genocide or help in anyway to at least apologize for their ancestors' genocidal plunderings.Last edited by Deviance; 06-16-2004, 10:01 AM.I'm sorry that I was such an idiot.

Please, just give it up. It is a historical truth, and you will be doing greater good to your country by finally accepting it then by running away from it.I'm sorry that I was such an idiot.

Yes, the little "evidence" they come up with is truly sad.
This Turkish man, after the Taner Akcam lecture, approached Dr. Akçam and gave him a booklet published by a bunch of Turkish university students, as if a genocide scholar had things to learn from them.
During the lecture, the same man asked "why don't people use Ottoman archives? Of course that foreign consuls will make up lies about the Turks." He, of course, was ignoring the fact that most of Dr. Akçam's research is based on Ottoman archives.
It's like they have a set of questions and comments which they will use whenever they have the chance, regardless of the situation.

What the Turkish did, is by far one of the most shocking things I have ever known about, and believe me I do have sympathy. But I do not believe that anger towards turks now will solve anything. People change, and the turks that were involved in the genoicde differ from the turks that exist today. I am aware that some turkish adolences still shout out hateful things to armenians, but I believe it is only from lack of knowledge. You cannot strike down an entire race on the mistakes others have made in their past. It is like saying, I am a nazi, due to the fact that I am of German heritage. It just isnt right. Fighting hatred with hatred just isnt going to do any good. An eye for an eye? As ghandi said it, "an eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind."

But when you do not commit youre crimes, its because you have a good reason not too, in turkeys case it means, you get away with anything you do today.
Because in no way was the armenian genocide a one time - atrocitiy but today they continue through azerbadjian and on their own ethnic minorites and cause death and devastation.
In azerbadjian pogroms was carried out on the armenian population not that long ago, in the same brutal style as they did during the atrocities of 1915-___genocide.Last edited by Tres Bien; 07-22-2004, 12:21 PM.
