Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)
1] What you CAN NOT post.
You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene
You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)
The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!
2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.
This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.
3] Keep the focus.
Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.
4] Behave as you would in a public location.
This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.
5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.
Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.
6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.
Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.
7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.
- PLEASE READ -
Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.
8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)
If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

it shows a bunch of stupid armenian kids talking to one another, while a dead armenian kid layed on the ground , covered with a sheet , while his brother was held by cops on the side, crying hysterically...trying to get to his brother who was dead.
people shoot one another for the dumbest xxxx, "you look at me funny" or " you called my mother fat "
that isnt a f*cking reason to shoot one another dead you idiots!

Originally posted by patlajan Don't fall for that Micheal Moore crap. What was funny to me that he compared the number of shootings in Canada with the number of shooting in the U.S. which is silly since Canada only has 24 million people in it. That's less people than my tri-state area. And the more even distribution of income is probably a factor. I want to see the % of fatalities from guns compare to the total population.

Originally posted by Anonymouse There are laws now against such things, yet they happened didn't they? So what was the point of a law, the kids won't understand that. Besides, what you mentioned is somethign that is so rare that I wouldnt worry about it. How many people have died by kids throwing grenades via the window? I am far more afraid of the State having guns than kids. Your logic makes no sense.

Originally posted by Baron Dants Yes, I noticed the difference in population. HOWEVER, if you were to calculate the rate, as I estimated while watching the movie, it is still 5-6 times higher in the USA than in Canada.

Originally posted by patlajan It will happen frequently in the society you propose. Since government can't regulate anyone that grenade should be readily available for sale at a store. Who is the governmet to say what someone can buy and can't buy. So my scenario seems likely. What is there to stop that kid from obtaining the grenade? You've got a bazooka why can't he have a grenade? Who are you to tell him what he can and can't have?
Of course youre example once again assumes that all kids seek to acquire guns. Eventually if I have a bazooka you have a bazooka we wont shoot each other, just like the Soviet Union and the U.S. wouldn't explode each other. When one party is in possession of something it is a monopoly and that party alone has the power, but when you don't have a monopoly and other parties have your capabilities it will be a natural form of deterrence.Achkerov kute.

I see this all the time. Many Armenian immigrants come here, their parents open up a business, make money, forget about their kids, and just buy a car, give it to them, their kids grow up xxxxed up. I went to an innner city high school, full of mexicans, asians and armenians. I saw this xxxx all the time.Achkerov kute.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: guns
Originally posted by patlajan I think population density should also be accounted for. When people are in each other's face more tempers are more likely to flare. Also Canada's ethnic makeup is more stable, so there is less friction that way as well.
What I found very interesting were stats that our sociology professor presented to us last semester. Obviously, I don't remember the exact figures, but it went something like this.
In USA, black americans form 12% of the population, and 35 (or more, I don't remember) of the prison population.
In Canada, they form around 6% of the population, and 4% of the prison population.
Also, on the population density aspect, I will have to disagree. Most Canadians live in the Quebec City/Windsor axe, which is just as dense as the States. In fact, the crime rate is much higher in the aboroginal population, who are a small number on a very large territory (all that reaaally cold part nobody goes to).
