A police officer in Toronto suggested that women can dress less provocatively (don't dress like s!uts) in order to deter unwanted sexual advances from predators and he got castrated for it. They made him give a public apology and held a "s!ut walk" in protest. Needless to say the women that protested should have no worries about sexual advances... ok, that was mean but hey, the entire event was ridiculous.

Really? You mean girls are actually as smart as boys when it comes to math, science and engineering? Then why, even NOW, after half a decade of feminism, there are still almost no women in math, science and engineering departments....

So just in a matter of 20 years girls and boys math performance has equalized. What happened .. the female gender just got magically smarter? Or was the assumption that boys are better in math than girls was (and is) just plain wrong?

As far as women in academia, their numbers is rising .. but it will take a LONG time. You have professors that stay in academia for many decades and there is just not as quick a turn-around. A lot of young faculty are female (both because there are better candidates now than just 20 years ago and because departments are intentionally trying to hire more females). So it is only a matter of time. More female faculty will mean more females who start to pursue academic careers. It is not something that will change in just a few decades. It will take time.

Umm satire? It's the same kind of stuff men said about women, but reversed to make a point and to try to give men some perspective.


There's also interesting research (and tons of it) that when you tell people that they're not good at something, they perform badly at it and the reverse is true as well.

You do realize he got fired for basically saying women aren't good in math and science because they are stupid, right? If you think that is against "feminizm", I think you really have a very little understanding of what feminism is really about. Are we going to have to discuss whether or not women are as intelligent as men, first?

Really? You mean girls are actually as smart as boys when it comes to math, science and engineering? Then why, even NOW, after half a decade of feminism, there are still almost no women in math, science and engineering departments. All of them seem to be flocking to psychology, english, communication, sociology and wimminz studies? Why all the medalists in the Internation Mathematics Olympiad (High school) all male. I mean even the US team is all male every year despite the massive amounts of money being spent on encouraging girls to do math. There MUST be some conspiracy to keep girls away from math. Those evil men must not be letting girls compete fairly, EVEN THOUGH MOST teachers in the US ARE FEMALE. I mean, if girls are as smart as boys, and all over the world MOST scientists ans mathematicians are men, then THERE MUST BE A GLOBAL CONSPIRACY TO KEEP WOMEN DOWN. Or, women are neither particularly interested in math and sciences, nor can they compete with men.
