Just got out of a 3.5 yr relationship and I must say that it feels pretty good. At my age the reasons are normally more complex than simplistic and for a variety of reasons we both felt we weren't suitable for each other. A few years before that I was in a 5.5 yr relationship which did not end so friendly. At any rate thought I would try to get this thread back OT! lol Enough about my relationships.

I think my problem is that I'm incapable of just being the jerk and having "fun" with one woman then turning around and having fun with another. So I always end up in these long term relationships. Urrggghhh when will my cycle of consensual abuse end!?! lol

Speaking of my affliction ... this girl I recently got intimate with is calling me nonstop and I feel obligated to talk to her yet don't want her to feel like anything more is going to come of our, er, encounters. We did NOT have sex so It makes me feel all guilty yet continuing with any false pretenses seems worse. This is where I tend to ____ myself.

Lamb - if you know that you're not interested in more and that you have a problem making that clear, that's all the more reason why you should say something.
Saying you're not interested in a relationship when you first meet is not sufficient either if you're going to later give her mixed signals. Need to be clear.
