What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

Unbowed height: Karabakh 5 months after April war (PHOTOS)
        20:53, 06.09.2016
        Region:Armenia, Karabakh
        Theme: Politics

Swallowing the dust from the open window, we approach the Artsakh border. It is hot and quiet; the sky above is blue. It is hard to believe that only recently the sounds of grenades and machine-gun shots were heard here. Accompanied by Lieutenant Colonel of N military, we go up in the direction of one of the positions in Martakert (photos).

The casings mixed with dirt and sand and scattered under foot, being indicative of the cruel battles. The casings lie exactly where they fell in the night of April 2.

“Captain Armenak Urfanyan, privates Robert Abajyan, Andranik Zohrabyan and Kyaram Sloyan died here,” the Lieutenant Colonel shows.

The soldiers surrounding us tell what happened in this military position in the night of April 1 to 2. The first thing they show is the concrete cross soaring on the military position chapel.

“Andranik Zohrabyan died here. After completing the restoration work, we decided to make a memorial cross. We want those who will serve here after us to know about Ando and the other guys,” they say.

Then they accompany us to the trench cell where Robert Abajyan blew himself up together with several adversary soldiers. After restoring this trench cell, Robert’s fellow servicemen engraved the first letters of his name and surname (R.A.) and a flower on the wall. By amazing coincidence, the trench cell is located near the military position chapel.

Currently, this position is held by privates, who carried out their duty in neighboring positions on April 2. They were all servicemen of the same platoon.

“We were on duty as usual, when several shells exploded. We took relevant measures, but were under fire till the early morning,” says Abajyan’s fellow serviceman, Gevorg Davtyan.

At about 6:00 am they got a phone call; it was Abajyan, Gevorg continues.

“He said: “There are lots of them, come to us, we are not able to”…but we couldn’t come to help since we were under fire ourselves,”Gevorg recalls.

“I was in the neighboring position during the April war days. The adversary was shelling, making infiltration attempts, but useless. In the night of April 1 to 2, we learnt what was happening in Abajyan’s position. We tried to help them, but we couldn’t leave our position,”adds another serviceman, Eduard Khachatryan.

According to the disseminated information, the adversary was aiming to first occupy Urfanyan’s position, the neighboring positions and then move forward. Captain Urfanyan and his soldiers were engaged in an unequal battle for several hours on end, using all the means at their disposal. After the death of his friends, surviving Abajyan blew up himself and several soldiers of the adversary. The Azeris remained in the occupied position for only 40 minutes. The group composed of six Armenian soldiers managed to reoccupy the position, not allowing the adversary to move forwards.

A cross stone with the names of the four selfless servicemen has been installed in the military position recently.

Azeris are having wet dreams again

Lt Gen: It took Azerbaijani soldiers a few hours to break through Armenia’s “fortified positions”

Baku. Hafiz Heydarov – APA. Yashar Aydemirov, a retired lieutenant general of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan, has responded to the claims by Levon Mnasakanyan, the defense minister of the separatist regime created in the Armenian-occupied Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan.

The Armenian military leadership, seeking to escalate the situation on the contact line between Armenian and Azerbaijani troops, has now begun violate the “ceasefire regime” on the Internet, too, Lt Gen Aydemirov told APA on Sept. 6.

He noted that the non-sense statements made to the press by Mnasakanyan, one of the representatives of the Armenian military-political regime which suffered a major blow in the April clashes and the chief of the gang of separatist operating under the guise of ‘self-defense’, sound like ones uttered by someone guilty who is trying to cover up his inexperience and incapability.

"The fact that the Armenian criminal military-political leadership, hoping to stand on its feet at the expense of donations from various Armenian humanitarian organizations, is talking about buying new weaponry, enhancing the army’s technical capabilities, strengthening the front line defense, and the front line being ‘impenetrable’ is nothing but a desperate attempt, which became clear after the April clashes,” said Azerbaijan’s retired officer. “It took Azerbaijani soldiers just a few hours to break through the “fortified positions” Armenia’s leadership had been boasting about for years.”

Aydemirov also noted that such statements of the opposite side are based on unawareness.

It is ridiculous that the Armenian military regime, being unaware of the situation in central military units, is speaking about developments on the frontline and remote military units, he added.

“For example, they disseminated three conflicting reports about the death of serviceman Arayik Ordubekyan within two days,” the retired officer said. “They first accused the Azerbaijani side of the Armenian soldier’s death, after a day awarded a medal to him, then the so-called body headed by Mnasakanyan issued a statement denying the killing of the soldier by Azerbaijani military.”

All of this show that this body is unaware of crime situation, anarchy prevailing within the Armenian military units, bandit and separatist groups allegedly being subordinate to it, but acting independently and what is happening in the occupied territories, Aydemirov stressed.

In case that the Armenian government and army are alive at the expense of the funds collected by its diaspora, various statements issued by either Armenia’s Defense Ministry’s officials or representatives of the separatist regime that their militarized are allegedly strengthened through purchase of arms and ammunition, are not convincing and evoke laughter, he concluded.
