Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Try writing it as a comprehensible question using a quote (= something that I actually wrote & not that you made up). Thanks.

[Karo: I am not going to help you fill this thread up with nonsense -- Start Reading From the Post Above @post #276 - it seems there is delay in the system in registering posts today.]

(Funny how one map debunks your post-Bolshevik propaganda ... it reminds me of an addict that can't admit he's hooked.)
Tell me what does it debunk? Can you please tell me or else cut the crap and the map is wrong it should be given away by the Soviets because Russia didn't exist anymore.

Building cities for you, relocating you to Iran when you couldn't defend against Turkic and Mongol invasions, is on par with the Armenian Genocide? Okay Karo - see what happened (in the map above) when you had your way. (Note to Self: I've really have to let Iranians know that Iran sheltering Armenians fleeing the AG is not something that seems to be taught to Armenian kids or appreciated by them.)

Those lands in the 18th century belonged to the Persian empire and it was up to them to defend those lands. So it's now our fault that the Persians couldn't defend parts of their empire. Now I want numbers about the people that fled to Iran, because the majority fled to Russian controlled Armenia, that became the independent Armenia. Show me the numbers or cut the crap.

Karo - Armenia went with Russia and this what happened: It's one of the reasons you've lost the trust of people in Iran. You can't blame others for your choices.

Why aren't you responding to what I said?

I responded to this and you come with that piece of BS?

The topic is "Russia-friend or foe?" ... I am trying to keep it on topic. You want evidence that Russia is selling Armenian girls and women to other countries the way a farmer sells apples? You sure?

"Armenia is primarily a source country for women and girls trafficked to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Turkey for the purpose of commercial sexual exploitation. Armenian men and women are trafficked to Russia for the purpose of forced labor. NGOs reported that Armenian women were also trafficked to Turkey for the purpose of forced labor. Women from Ukraine and Russia are trafficked to Armenia for the purpose of forced labor. Victims trafficked to the UAE usually fly to Dubai from Yerevan or via cities in Russia; the trafficking route to Turkey is generally via bus through Georgia. A small number of Armenian girls and boys are trafficked internally for purposes of commercial sexual exploitation and forced begging."

(U.S. State Dept Trafficking in Persons Report, June, 2009.)

“ The opposition Armenian National Congress has issued a statement, referring to the recent WikiLeaks disclosure on the situation with human trafficking in Armenia. "This document gives appalling details, dwelling on the phenomenon of child molestation as well," the statement goes on saying. According to the ANC acivists, authorities are to blame for the social depreciation and extreme poverty forcing many parents to send their children abroad for prostitution.

They further note that the document was elaborated based on the studies of the US Embassy in Yerevan and an interview with Armenian Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepyan. The leaked cable issued by the WikiLeaks accused the prosecutor general of supporting trafficking and porn industry in Armenia. It claimed that the Armenian president and the National Assembly's failure to take urgent measures to fire Hovsepyan demonstrate that traffikcing and porn business are supported on the state level in Armenia.”

Can you quote me asking you for evidence? I guess not.

What sources do you present, Levon (aka the xxx) and what a diplomat thinks. What's next Azeri sources?

After all of the assimilation the Russians subjected Armenia to - how can one tell what source is "Armenian" or Russian or "J*wish"?

Armenians had no trouble intermarrying with the small xxxish population during the Russian golden-years.
(“xxxish conversions to Christianity in Armenia have increased in recent years due to high rates of intermarriage.” http://www.ncsj.org/Armenia.shtml)

“The one surprising exception is a narrow majority of Armenians – 51%—approve of Armenian women marrying Russians.”

(Statistical Study:Forbidden Love: Attitudes Toward Interethnic Marriage in the South Caucasus: http://webcache.googleusercontent.co...www.google.com )

As to whether Russia is friend or a foe - the topic of this thread - it's also fair to ask what role Russia's trafficking of Armenian girls and women plays: do you agree?

Do you even know what a source is? Because what you just posted doesn't make sense at all.

That is the opposite of Armenian assimilation, having other people taking the Armenian identity. What is your point actually with this statement?

“The one surprising exception is a narrow majority of Armenians – 51%—approve of Armenian women marrying Russians.”

I love your source some blog, wow what a source hahahahah I don't think you can come up with real sources.

Russia as a state does no such thing so no it does not matter if some mobsters do that to the relation of two states and the two people.

it is only possible for Armenian mafia groups involved in trafficking to operate if they have support
                      from high levels

as to Russia - it has its own trafficking problems. I think the Armenian mafia is doing enough
harm to other Armenians without Russians (or Turks or others) having to get involved
