Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Iran-&-Armenia to Bolstering their Cooperation in Mines and Industrial Areas - Conference Scheduled.
At a meeting between Iranian and Armenian officials, the two sides have called for further expansion of industrial ties between the two countries. Iranian Deputy Minister of Industries and Mines Ahmad Khademolmelleh and Armenian Ambassador to Iran Grigor Arakelian met in Tehran and discussed the prospects for the two countries' industrial relations, IRNA reported on Sunday. Khademolmelleh pointed to both countries' potentials for bolstering their cooperation in mines and industrial areas and called for organizing industrial tours for Armenian business owners in Iran. The Armenian ambassador, on the other hand, announced his country's readiness to participate in the projects introduced by Iran's ministry of industries and mines and asked for more information on the Islamic Republic's potentials in the area. Arakelian said that the bilateral trade value between the two states hits $270 million and the figure is on the rise. Both sides agreed that managers of both countries' mines and industrial sectors examine the areas of cooperation through a conference.

MY DISCLAIMER: I cannot understand for the life of me why when Armenia has a natural ally (Iran), with major natural resources, a powerful military, and a shared hatred for Pan-Turkism, the moderators of this forum permit one *purported* Armenian-user to devote a high portion of his posts to publicly spoiling that natural alliance. It does not take a genius to figure out what 80 million Iranians will think when they visit this Iranian/Armenian-Relations thread and see the room one user has been given to disparage Iranians as "criminals," "hooligans," "pimps," and "pedophiles." It doesn't take a genius to see how much nonsense people will have to sift through on this thread to understand the historical cooperation Armenians and Iranians have enjoyed. If you also are concerned or have questions, please write to Mr. Tigran Sargsyan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, via [email protected], and request a member of Armenia's foreign relations team to read this thread in its entirety to identify the challenges posed to Armenia from some of the content published here. The most anti-Armenian thing to do, is to not alert the Armenian Government of what is being said in the online information war, when certain posts have the potential to alter foreign relations.

There's no need to cite all of his statements - but I'm sure it won't be Armenia's interests for all Iranians to leave the "Iranian/Armenian Relations Thread" and have the content be driven by this guy:

Oh, the above-statements, will do wonders for the stability, prosperity, and defense of Armenia -- And what should I do? Not cite to what has been written and let a Tsunami of Iranian anger take Armenia by surprise? Has everyone had their morning cup of coffee?

Persopolis please continue to post articles about Armenian-Iranian energy relations.
For the first time in more than 600 years, Armenia is free and independent, and we are therefore obligated
to place our national interests ahead of our personal gains or aspirations.

This is to funny, you know that Armenia is such a country where everyone can think and say what they like, no one gets arrested for not agreeing that they don't agree with the government. If Mos wants he can be as anti-Iranian as he want (not saying he is). I don't care what ordinary Iranians think, because they aren't the ones making the decisions the elite is the one that does that so I only care what they think and they also don't care what an ordinary Armenian thinks.

Yeah it seems you live in a very special place, but in the real world almost every country hates Iran. You want to give them an excuse to come and bomb your country to th stone age. Our enemies are maybe close to us, but yours is the West and they hate your country and regime.

Then you should be grateful I pointed it out. Do you like to fall asleep on the beach without someone warning of a wave building offshore or do you prefer not to be notified until the wave hits shore? Please also cite to my full sentence where it gives the context:

(My Statement: "Oh, the above-statements [systematically disparaging Iranians - Armenia's longtime supporter] will do wonders for the stability, prosperity, and defense of Armenia -- And what should I do? OK genius, then just sit back and watch the anti-Armenian websites and support for the Turkish cause accumulate.

That's your Southern Border - Enjoy your new Turkish nationality:

Yawn! The Iranian people have not existed for 8,000 plus years without brains, courage or military capability - especially in that neighborhood. And if you want to take a close look at when Armenia's lands were 3 times larger and when the Armenian Genocide occurred, it was IMMEDIATELY AFTER Armenia stopped officially being protected by the Persian Empire.
