1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

    2) Do you sincerely believe that the thousands of Karabakh war veterans, MANY OF WHO WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR LEVON'S RESIGNATION IN 1998, including the Yerkrapah, want Levon back so that Levon will "sell Artsakh to Azeris"?

    3) Are are you aware that Serje Sarkissian has public spoken of returning lands to Azerbaijan, and that he imprisoned war heroes who spoke out against and condemned those treasonous statements?

    4) Are you aware that when Levon comes to power, again WHEN he comes to power, that those same forces opposed to territorial concessions to Azerbaijan will be watching Levon's moves like a hawk? And Do you think that Levon is so stupid as not to know what awaits him if he dared to give up lands?
wait a minut why would serje give the lands he was born in away I don't understand it? It would be like me giving Lenakan to Georgia or Turkey. And I think Artsakh you lived in the days of Levon and know what was going on then and know what kind of xxxx it was. But things have improved alot and they will improve but a drastic chage will destroy evreything. And bring no good to our nation.

feel bad for saying this but we barely got of there for good, and no, neither I or my family plans on going back anytime soon, I wish things get better so we can go back, but its not gonna happen anytime soon.

I was born there I lived there, i know more then you can ever imagine. So please keep your childish remarks to yourself. Trust me pal, there is a good xxxxing reason why millions of people leave their homeland behind in search of better home. Maybe you should go back and ask your father or grandfather whats was their reason, i am sure they can give you a good one.

I am sick and tired seeing my people crumble. They never learn to work together, NEVER. Even when they are at the end of the world and there is only 2 Armenians, they fight with each other. I guess it in our blood to be this way and never succeed as one.

Here we have berutahay, parskahay, hayastansi and between them they have their own categories. In Armenia we have texatsi, norekox, karabaxhtsi, etc. Vortegh hay, endegh vay.
Come to Belgium here Hayer live togheter because many of them don't have any family here and a hay is like family close, so here where I live is very difren. And hayer from here are returning to Armenia evrey year more and more. How bad it is there it's our home, our only home. And I hope you never return to Armenia because Armenia doesn't need people like you. I ws borned there and when I'm done here with school and all I'll return back, evrey Armenian should do that work and return. And not turn in to something like you and your family.

    Brothers,

Our statehood is above any person and any organization, it’s above Kocharyan, above Sargsyan, above LTP, above ARF, above RPA… it is above everyone and everything! Don’t let anyone to attack our statehood!!! It’s not about Serzh vs Levon, it’s all about not allowing our teenage state to be weakened and it’s all about not allowing our young country to be enslaved by our enemies. Look past persons, past organizations, look beyond sympathy and antipathy for this and for that, just think ARMENIA! Surb Hayotz Petutiun!!!
    Bravo nice said

I just got off the telephone with a close friend of mine in Yerevan. We were talking about the deaths over the weekend and he said that the one military death was that of a Captain who jumped on a hand granade that was thrown by the rioters to protect his young conscripts. What a sad-sad situation we are in... What did that pornik Levon and his xxxxed up followers do to us... I ask you all to please refrain from "debating" this topic with Levon supporters. These people are mentally retarded demons and low-class street porniks. xxxx them all - literally, physically and metaphorically. These people have damaged Armenia and they have pushed many of us reluctantly into the Serzh Sargsyan camp.

Unfortunate but who knows how much of its is true.

The Armenia channel that is owned by our great administration, does not really say anything, but they did yesterday say about the 8 people killed. And they were laughing about it. They killed an 6 year old kid and now they laugh.

I know this does not mean anything to you. But just saying.

                  To: Whom It May Concern
We, the undersigned citizens of Armenia not affiliated with any government bodies or with the marginal opposition groups, state the following:

The events of March 1, 2008 in Yerevan, Armenia are an attempt of a rebellion, which had nothing to do with peaceful opposition actions. Witnesses confirm that the police and the authorities in general refrained from resorting to force as long as possible. The state authorities patiently waited for 9 days for the unauthorized demonstration to end, but the marginalized part of the opposition led by Levon Ter-Petrosyan continued illegal activities with calls to overthrow government with revolutionary means. This was a Gandhi on surface, Bolshevist in essence "singing and dancing revolution" to quote Ter-Petrosyan himself. The actions of Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s supporters ended in deaths (both among the protesters and police forces), burning and looting — something unseen even during the protests of 1988, when hundreds of thousands of Armenians were taking part in the demonstrations for the freedom of Nagorno Karabakh.

We strongly believe that now Levon Ter-Petrosyan is a direct threat to the statehood of Armenia.

The feeling of revenge, personal business interests and affiliations are the motives behind Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s scandalous comeback. While we criticize our government for many weaknesses and faults we strongly believe that Levon Ter-Petrosyan is the last person in the world to be interested in strengthening democracy in Armenia. The reasons for us to think so are:

                  1. Ter-Petrosyan was the first leader of the Republic of Armenia to practice large scale electoral fraud (elections of 1996, Vazgen Manukian being the real winner).

                  2. Ter-Petrosyan was the first one to use army against the protesters (after falsifying the results of presidential elections in 1996).

                  3. Ter-Petrosyan was the first to suppress free speech, by closing newspapers (some of us remember quite well policemen throwing computers out of the office windows of the “Yerkir” daily).

                  4. Ter-Petrosyan was the first leader in the Republic of Armenia to shut down a political party and throw its members into jail (the infamous “Dro” case).

                  5. Ter-Petrosyan was the very person under whose wing the oligarchic families were born. Actually all the current Armenian oligarchs became rich during Ter-Petrosyan’s rule. Moreover, while his supporters criticize oligarchs, the major donor for the Ter-Petrosyan’s campaign is another oligarch.

                  6. Ter-Petrosyan was the person who brought to power current Armenian authorities — who are now being called criminals and bandits by the supporters of the ex-president.

                  7. Yet the most important... Ter-Petrosyan is the very person who killed Armenians’ belief in justice, law and freedom of speech.

With everything said above, we urge our compatriots to stay sober and do not fall for the disinformation and PR-campaign started by Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s supporters.

We call on the government of Armenia to conduct thorough investigation and bring to fair trial all instigators of disturbances and civil unrest. With enough evidence of complicity immunity should be lifted from Ter Petrosyan himself. In true democracy no one can be above the law.

                  Sincerely,

                  The Undersigned

The above is too polite. I got the following via email. Fax or email the following to various embassies and/or organization if you want to come across more forceful.

                    *******************************

Levon Ter Petrosian Must be Punished!

The treasonous criminal Levon Ter Petrosian and his team of bloody usurpers need to be punished for their crimes against the Armenian state. We expect to see Levon Ter Petrosian and his team imprisoned for life, exiled or executed for their crimes. President Robert Kocharyan waited far too long to crack down the masses of absolute idiots pursuing suicidal political agendas. If Armenia is to be respected as a viable nation serious about protecting its national interests, every single one of the organizers of last weekend's failed coup d'etat need to be imprisoned, deported or executed for treason against the state. There can be no sane excuses for supporting a treasonous criminal like the turkophile Levon Ter Petrosian, especially after having observed eight years of his corrupt and ruinous presidency. If the Armenian electorate was dissatisfied with Serzh Sargsyan they should have given their support to any of the other presidential candidates - not Levon Ter Petrosian. Sadly, a significant portion of the Armenian nation today has revealed severe political immaturity and social irresponsibility. Consequently, a significant portion of Armenia’s citizenry has revealed that they are unable to govern themselves via democratic means.

Nevertheless, we expect the Armenian state to:

Ruthlessly crush the bloody rebellion and severely punish its leadership.

Summon the Russian FSB to help hunt down and eliminate anyone involved in the funding and/or the organization of this attempted coup d'etat.

Shut-down western funded anti-state media outlets such as A1 Plus, Hetq, Armenianow and Radio Liberty.

Subject to closure various NGOs in Yerevan that are engaged in anti-state activities.

Deport foreign agents such as Onnik Krokorian and Richard Giragosian back to where they came from.

Deport the brainless pig Raffi Hovanisian back to his stinking hole in California.

Up hold the rule of law and order in Armenia.

Protect at all costs the territorial integrity of Armenia and Artsakh.

Protect at all costs Armenia's alliance with the Russian Federation.

Serzh Sargsyan's presidency will be judged by whether or not he is able to eradicate the HHSh party within the Armenian Republic. The HHSh party is a cancer in Armenia serving American and Turkish interests. This dangerous cancer needs to be eradicated as soon as possible.

                    Signed,

                    Concerned Armenians
