It's best to let women like Flamenkita think the way they do, but take charge of your own life as a man. Don't put up with their BS, and don't put up with their demands on you. Stick to your guns and your ideals - this is the way it is and you can either accept it or get lost. I'm calling for a radical regeneration and reaffirmation of manhood.

Real men aren't subject to the whims and wishes of their nether regions. Real men stick to their ideals, and cow-towing to feminist blowhards plays no role in that paradigm whatsoever.

Also, I watch on my computer, after my kids are asleep. I choose what and when I watch.

Have you read Brave New World by any chance?

Huxley used the setting and characters from his science fiction novel to express widely held opinions, particularly the fear of losing individual identity in the fast-paced world of the future. An early trip to the United States gave Brave New World much of its character. Not only was Huxley outraged by the culture of youth, commercial cheeriness, sexual promiscuity and the inward-looking nature of many Americans, he had also found a book by Henry Ford on the boat to America. There was a fear of Americanization in Europe. Thus seeing America firsthand, and from reading the ideas and plans of one of its foremost citizens, Huxley was spurred to write Brave New World with America in mind. The "feelies" are his response to the "talkie" motion pictures, and the sex-hormone chewing gum is a parody of the ubiquitous chewing gum, which was something of a symbol of America at that time.

Well, I'm already married to an Armenian man who is pretty secure in his manhood, and so is not threatened by my intelligence or my ideals.

Also, Kanada, I don't have antisemitic issues, so who wrote what is irrelevant to me.

I can sit here and list at least fifty books that will support my world view, most you've never even heard of, let alone read. What's the point?

They can wipe their vorig with their Ph.D.'s because in modern America a Ph.D. has become so common and vulgar that it is almost worthless. Advanced degrees in anything other than a hard science is not only worthless, but can in fact be detrimental to the earning potential of said person. Many employers won't even look at someone with a Ph.D. because they are over-qualified - and good luck trying to get a tenure-track professorship. Achkt luys for having a Ph.D.

Either way, any esh-shek with half a brain can defend a geghdz thesis that no one cares about and makes no impact. It takes a person of intelligence and common sense to actually produce something that will benefit at least one person (I'm not even asking you to change the world!).

Most theses are exercises in name dropping and intellectual 'self-abuse'.

And the vultures gather to pick at the only glimmer of brilliance and sanity still left in these threads ....

I understand many of you are anti-west. But one of the most disturbing things about the west that I see very clearly being demonstrated here is this sheer anti-intellectualism that is so rampant in the media and the culture. Someone makes the mistake of mentioning she, God forbid, has some sort of post-secondary degree and some of you blow a gasket trying to instantly dig a hole and dump her in it.

It is the same with Global Warming, evolution, social sciences, medical sciences, nutrition, etc ... it is as if it is entirely irrelevant whether one is talking to an educated expert or the dumb-ass curator of the "Creation Museum".

At least the traditional Armenians tend to value education and the educated. That is one of the aspects of our culture I hope we never lose.
