Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

I understand many of you are anti-west. But one of the most disturbing things about the west that I see very clearly being demonstrated here is this sheer anti-intellectualism that is so rampant in the media and the culture. Someone makes the mistake of mentioning she, God forbid, has some sort of post-secondary degree and some of you blow a gasket trying to instantly dig a hole and dump her in it.

It is the same with Global Warming, evolution, social sciences, medical sciences, nutrition, etc ... it is as if it is entirely irrelevant whether one is talking to an educated expert or the dumb-ass curator of the "Creation Museum".

At least the traditional Armenians tend to value education and the educated. That is one of the aspects of our culture I hope we never lose.

    This is just sad

That eliminates the risk to lenders, not to borrowers. At least that's the way it works in Canada.

I don't understand where the question of emasculation came into play here. No one is asking anyone to give up their balls, and that's pretty much the sole thing that defines what a man is. That is IT. Any other definition is arbitrary.

Nothing new here -everytime a inteligent woman comes into this forum the hetamnats guys run her out. I hate what the west has done to this world via materialism and zionism but i also acknowledge the progress it has made including womens rights. Some people wana stay in the past never realizing that even in the past things were never as messed up as their minds are today. People think women only had sex after marriage in the old days and that is just funny bs. In the old days people didnt have computers and tv so guess what they did when they had free time. The only way to keep women from having premaritalsex was to marry them off at 14 years of age and thats even more messed up today then it was back then. People tend to romantisize the past believing that somehow back then humanity had everyting figured out but the reality is that we are improving our lives over time as we humans learn more about the world we live in and about our ourselves.Culutre and religion evolve overtime these are not static things and evolution is key to survival in the natural as well as the cultural world. The more we try to hang on to a idealized past that never existed to begin with the further back we set our society. Change is the only constant so you might as well embrace it instead of fighting it and hurting those around you. Driving away women ensures that we have no future and driving away progress means we cannot even comprehend a future.

Would like to point out that while a single working man could indeed do that, and still can if his paycheck is large enough, that's no longer the case if you apply real wages to those figures. Working full-time as a salesman with a stay-at-home wife was a comfortable arrangement that could get you a spacious suburban house in 10 years. Now, that same job will barely support renting an apartment. Real wages have declined steeply since the 50s/60s, so a job of that caliber would have to be supported by another working partner to maintain the same level of living.

Don't worry, the women will make great slaves in harems. We got them out and they want back in!!

All is well, rest assured. Civilization as a whole is at an all time high. That fact that we can all sit here, from various places across the world, and freely debate the fact proves that it's so.

That can be stopped with the flick of a switch... the free internet is already being debated.

When the free internet was threatened, sites raised their voices to protect their own. Technology grows and adapts faster than any government can control it. People will be thrown into prison on the basis of physical profiling before services like Hamachi will be effectively banned.

Here in the US, I was much more threatened by the NDAA than SOPA at any given point, because one violates a daily right, while one violates a much larger yet unseen one. You can feel people up in airports with no real concrete backlash from the masses, but threat to ban alcohol and DC would be razed to the ground within a day.

Actually, this is all very predictable, hence boring. The only person's life you are making difficult is your own by holding such rigid ideas. Pity...
