Can't you sponsor their travel, to make it free of charge, as the citizens of a friendly country?

That defeats the whole purpose. We need their money, it does a lot of good to economy. What's point of tourism for a country, if tourists come free?

Now I'm sure that you are much clever than people think about you virtually. You are spending too much time on posting to this forum. May I ask; are you unemployed?

Aper, all I said is that money of tourists is helpful for our economy. I am a University student.

with lots of partying, come the consequences:

Iranian citizens get into fight in Yerevan

                    March 24, 2011 | 00:40

On March 24, at 12:00 Kentronakan police department was alerted that a scuffle had broken out near Alen-Elen club on Abovyan Street in Yerevan.

The police officers arrived at the accident site and found out a group of Iranian citizens got into a fight, photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am. Two women were brought to police.

They were not in sober condition and the security staff of Alen-Elen club banned them to enter the club. The citizens will be handed over to the Iranian Embassy in Armenia.

MY TAKE ON THIS IS THAT IRAN IS BUILDING PERSIAN (i.e., NOT Turkic) CITIES IN THE NORTH & SUPPLYING ARMENIA WITH ENERGY RESOURCES TO COMBAT PAN-TURKISM. THANK GOD SOME PEOPLE HAVE GOOD SENSE. I DOUBT ARMENIA WANTS TO BE SURROUNDED ON 3 BORDERS BY TURKS, WITH THE 4TH BORDER BEING THE LAME-DUCK STATE OF GEORGIA WHO RECENTLY FOUGHT A WAR WITH RUSSIA (WHILE GEORGIA WAS ACTING AS A US/ISRAELI PROXY). THAT'S MY TAKE ON THE STORY: SHIP GAS TO ARMENIA --> BUILD ARMENIA'S ECONOMY --> HAVE ARMENIA TURN THE FUEL INTO ELECTRICITY -- > HAVE ARMENIA SUPPLY ELECTRICITY TO SMALL PERSIAN TOWNS IN THE NORTH --> GROW PERSIAN TOWNS IN THE NORTH AS A BARRIER AGAINST TURKS.
                      **********************************************
Iran to Supply Armenia with 400,000 Gallons of Petrol Per Day.

TEHRAN, Feb. 14 (UPI) -- Iran reached a deal with the Armenian government to deliver nearly 400,000 gallons of gasoline and diesel fuel each day, a deputy oil official said.

Alireza Zeiqami, a deputy director at a national oil refinery and distribution company in Iran, said both sides agreed to deliver equal volumes of gasoline and fuel oil under a new supply agreement, the semiofficial Fars News Agency reports.

Iran sells its gasoline to Armenia in exchange for electricity. The mountainous terrain of northern Iran makes it difficult to connect to the electricity distribution networks in the rest of the country.

Iran last year switched its petrochemical facilities to gasoline production to cope with pressure from economic sanctions, though that measure was characterized by analysts as counterproductive.

Both sides also discussed the construction of a 220-mile oil pipeline connecting the two countries by 2014.

NATO in 2008 warned Armenia that it needed to take steps to increase transparency in the energy sector to counter high energy costs. Iran and Armenia agreed last year to split the cost of the oil pipeline.

MY DISCLAIMER: I cannot understand for the life of me why when Armenia has a natural ally (Iran), with major natural resources, a powerful military, and a shared hatred for Pan-Turkism, the moderators of this forum permit one *purported* Armenian-user to devote a high portion of his posts to publicly spoiling that natural alliance. The question I have is not intended as an insult to the moderators to to challenge their authority, but rather to find out their rationale - it's a question. In my opinion, it does not take a genius to figure out what 80 million Iranians will think when they visit this Iranian/Armenian-Relations thread and see the room one user has been given to disparage Iranians as "criminals," "hooligans," "pimps," and "pedophiles." It doesn't take a genius to see how much nonsense people will have to sift through on this thread to understand the historical cooperation Armenians and Iranians have enjoyed. If you also are concerned or have questions, please write to Mr. Tigran Sargsyan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, via webmaster@gov.am, and request a member of Armenia's foreign relations team to read this thread in its entirety to identify the challenges posed to Armenia from some of the content published here. The most anti-Armenian thing to do, is to not alert the Armenian Government of what is being said in the online information war, when certain posts have the potential to alter foreign relations.
