What is the difference Between Persian and Iranian?

Iranians claim Persian and Iranian are the same people. That is entirely wrong. Persians and Iranians are entirely different people. I will explain the difference between the two.

Persians are not a homogenous group and Persian is not a race. Natives of Iran have different origin. In anthropology Persians are defined as either Cromagnid with native origin or Nordic with Aryan origin (Iran: %35 Persian).

Iranians are Azeri Turks. They are defined as dinaric alpine (Iran: 40% Azeri). Those two are entirely different people and belong to different subracial types.

Due to propoganda by the regime all Iranians imagine they are Persians. That is not the case. Moreover the Persians and Iranians have entirely different cultures. Persian culture is related to ancient Persia, Central Asia and Afghanistan. Iranian Culture is related to Turks in Anatolia and Caucasus.

Several methods are used by Iranians/Azeris to confuse the natives of Iran about the origin of "Pure Iranians".

Iranians claim that :

1. Persians are mixed with Arabs due to arab invasion in 6 century A.D. This way Iranians are presented as Persians who are mixed with Arabs. This is a method for Iranians to hide behind arabs. Another method is say Iranians are Turkomens in order to hide behind Turkomans.

2. Iranians and Persians are the same people.

3. You can not tell apart an Iranian from a Persian.

4. Iran is not a tribal nation anymore but it is now a "beautiful Azeri Turk Iranian Nation".

5. There is an "Iranian Race" which is a mix of "Persians,Azeri Turks,Mongols,Arabs and Africans".

6. All citizens of Iran are members of the "Iranian Race" and all Look "Iranian".

7. "Iranians" speak diferent languages and have different political views but all look the same.

8. Persians were related to Persian Empire. Because there is no Persian Empire then there are no Persians either. Another version is to say there are no Persian tribes so there are no Persians.

9. Persians have Blond Hair and Blue Eyes. According to this criteria, then there are no Persians in Iran.

10. Reversing Nationality with ethnicity: Persian is nationality. The whole Middle East and Central Asia is Persian. Anybody speaking Persian language is "Persian". Iranian is ethnicity. Iranian is a race and live in Iran.!!!!

11. Due to Iran-Iraq war and shortage of Milk, Iranians/Azeris have short faces unlike the natives of Iran.

12. Persians are half turks.

13. Mongols have forced Iranians to speak Azeri Turkish language. Iranians are Persians who have forgotten the Persian language.

14. A famous Persian singer Gogoosh who can speak Azeri language is hired to promote how the "True Iranians" look like!!! Gogoosh has received bags of money from the regime to make such claims. She usually color her hair blond.

15. Iranians/Azeris are getting dark skin because they have been mixed with "Persians"!!!! Iranians are related to Slavs.

16. Present Persians as Iranians and Iranians as Persians. Persians such as Persian singer Gogoosh and the former Persian Empress Farah Pahlavi (Gilani-Caspian Region) is presented as Iranians and the Iranian/Azeri President Ahmadinejad is presented as Persian.

17. Tajiks are the true "Aryan Persians". Tajiks are actually Turks who speak Dari language.

18. Croats are the true "Iranian Aryans". Actually %40 of Croats are Illyrian Turks who look similar to Borat/Sacha Baron and are not related to any Aryans.

Azeris, Turks, Turkmens , Uzbeks, Gagauzs and Nogays .... are all the same Turkic nation.

Languages have different close dialects. So a Turk can understand easily a Azeri or Turkmen

But there is a point.. Azeris are Shiii muslims but other Turkic nations are dominantly sunni muslim. They are different so they are closer Iranians than Turkey Turks. One of the reason their close Iranian relations is they have lack of nationalistic feelings.... If you ask me " That I marry a Shii, I say no, because their religion is so different "we had many wars in Ottoman age, shii-sunni wars and Azeris fought near Iranians

But think If United States wants to make operation Iran, I am sure they will use Azeris, maybe kind of rebels.....Who knows ! If US wake up their nationalistic feelings many things change....

Azeris are not close to Iranians. Azeris are the Iranians. It is just a name they have adopted in 18 century to call themselves. The natives of Iran have their own names.

The regime in Iran has two factions. The Pan Turk faction: Ahmadinejad-Khatami. The other faction is based on the natives. The US supports the Pan Turk faction and wants to remove the native faction. So you are correct: The US will use Iranians/Azeris against the natives.
