I think that it's partially due to the person's personality, partially to the the environment you were exposed to, and partially due to your age.

I agree that you shouldn't think about what people are going to think of you. But that doesn't mean you should treat them like crap, to show to them that you don't care. I don't agree with mouse about blabbing without thinking.

I mean acting, for a reaction. You can shape reactions through your reaction.

I didn't read any of your respones, seeing as how I'm not really interested in them...so don't shoot me if I get repetitive...

Shyness has to do mostly with age and experience...you learn to be confident by your interactions with others...before I started working, I never knew how to talk to someone without stumbling all over myself to get my point across...but once I got the hang of talking to people, it became easier and easier....I'm sure in the next few years, once you finish school and go out into the "real world" you'll find it does get easier and better...and you'll be less likely to act shy. So chill out, no one is gonna shoot you for turning a little red...and I actually think that's kinda cute....SOMETIMES.
